Photosynth is now cool enough, powered with Silverlight technology

Something like six month ago I stumbled upon the article on TUAW about Microsoft Live Labs Photosynth being "not cool enought" for Mac OS X. At that time, if you would browse to the you would have been presented with the following notice.

"Unfortunately, we're not cool enough to run on your OS yet. We really wish we had a version of Photosynth that worked cross platform, but for now it only runs on Windows. Trust us, as soon as we have a Mac version ready, it will be up and available on our site,"

Today the message is still the same, although the wording is different, with one exception, but with very important one. Microsoft says they work on Silverlight version of player that would enable Photosynth on Mac OS X. Moreover, they not just started, but already offer a link so enthusiasts could try the Silverlight-based Photosynth player in action. The player works, not as fast and smooth, but it works!
